Hostinger is hiring a Backend Developer to architect, build and maintain backend systems and APIs at scale.

What you will do:

  • Architect, build and maintain backend systems and APIs using PHP and Go
  • Optimize APIs for performance, scalability and security at a scale of 10M+ mailboxes
  • Own the data layer: schema design, query optimization and ORM usage
  • Integrate third-party services and maintain technical documentation
  • Monitor and debug production issues to ensure high availability
  • Participate in code reviews and technical discussions

Requirements:

  • Strong experience with PHP and solid command of OOP principles and design patterns
  • Proficiency in writing unit and integration tests
  • Hands-on experience with REST APIs, SQL and at least one ORM
  • Familiarity with message queuing systems such as RabbitMQ or Kafka
  • Experience with Docker and containerized environments
  • Understanding of microservice architecture
