Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our team and take an integral role in architecting, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure solutions. This position emphasizes harnessing AWS technologies, automation tools, and DevOps methodologies to deliver robust, secure, and scalable systems addressing key business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Design AWS-based solutions tailored to meet specific business and operational requirements
  • Implement and manage automated infrastructure leveraging Terraform, with flexibility to use AWS CloudFormation when needed
  • Deploy containerized applications using Kubernetes and Docker, ensuring optimal orchestration
  • Maintain and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines with platforms like Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD for streamlined deployment
  • Monitor system health and performance, addressing inefficiencies to ensure high availability and reliability
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to assess requirements and build scalable infrastructure designs
  • Oversee AWS services such as S3, RDS, DynamoDB, Lambda, API Gateway, and CloudWatch, ensuring effective utilization
  • Automate routine operational tasks using scripting languages like Python and Bash, along with configuration management tools such as Ansible
  • Mentor and support team members, fostering collaboration and a culture of continuous learning
  • Document processes, configurations, and architectures with meticulous attention to detail
  • Enforce compliance with security best practices and industry standards across all implementations

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related disciplines, or equivalent professional expertise
  • 3+ years of experience in roles encompassing DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or systems engineering
  • Proficiency in AWS core services like S3, RDS, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, Lambda, API Gateway, AmazonMQ, CloudWatch
  • Expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, with flexibility to use CloudFormation as supplementary knowledge
  • Background in Kubernetes and Docker for container management and orchestration
  • Competency in CI/CD pipeline tools, including Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD
  • Knowledge of scripting languages like Python and Bash, alongside automation capabilities with Ansible
  • Understanding of best practices in cloud performance monitoring and troubleshooting
  • Capability to communicate effectively with technical teams and stakeholders to foster collaboration
  • English proficiency at an Upper-Intermediate level (B2) or above

  • Understanding of Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (Amazon EKS)
  • Showcase of advanced Python scripting abilities for cloud automation
  • Expertise in optimizing Infrastructure-as-Code workflows using AWS CloudFormation
