Overview
We're looking for a Business Development Director – Manufacturing & Industrial (m/f/d) to join our team in Germany in a hybrid working mode. In this high-impact role, you will focus on expanding EPAM’s footprint within the German manufacturing and industrial mid-market sector. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned networker to leverage actionable industry relationships and drive client engagement across custom IT development and digital transformation programs. You will work at the intersection of business strategy and advanced technology, positioning EPAM as the trusted partner for scalable, future-ready solutions in design, engineering, and systems integration.
Responsibilities
- Leverage an established network in Germany’s mid-market manufacturing and industrial sector to identify and originate new business opportunities
- Drive consultative sales of complex, custom IT development services and engineering solutions to meet revenue goals
- Engage with client leadership to understand strategic initiatives and partner in defining digital roadmaps
- Develop compelling value propositions, lead proposal preparation, and manage all phases of the deal cycle
- Collaborate with internal consulting, technology, delivery, and partner teams to design integrated solutions aligned with client needs
- Foster co-selling and joint initiatives with ecosystem partners to expand pipeline coverage
- Contribute market insights and share best practices to support regional and global growth objectives
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in business development or sales of digital technology services, with proven exposure to custom IT development projects
- Strong actionable network within Germany’s manufacturing or industrial sectors, preferably mid-market organizations
- Demonstrated success in identifying, shaping, and closing complex IT and digital transformation engagements
- Deep understanding of manufacturing digitalization trends, including Industry 4.0, IoT, and automation
- Ability to craft high-impact value propositions and present effectively to C-level executives
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with a results-driven mindset
- Fluent in German and English
Nice to have
- Previous experience in top-tier technology consulting or service firms in the DACH region
- Knowledge of advanced technologies such as AI/ML, digital twin, and cloud platforms tailored for manufacturing ecosystems
