Overview
We are seeking a Senior Delivery Manager to lead pre-sales and oversee the delivery of complex, large-scale programs within the energy sector.
This role is focused on driving modernization and digital transformation by implementing both commercial and enterprise software solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in delivery management, experience with multi-stream projects, and the ability to operate effectively in multi-vendor environments. The preferred location for this position is Athens or nearby areas.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all phases of program delivery, ensuring alignment with business objectives, timelines, and financial targets
- Direct pre-sales activities, including solution development, cost estimation, and direct client interaction
- Foster strong relationships with stakeholders at all organizational levels, including executive leadership, to ensure clear communication and alignment
- Manage delivery governance, risk identification, and escalation processes across multiple programs
- Collaborate with third-party vendors to ensure effective integration of external solutions
- Lead digital transformation and modernization projects within the energy sector
- Maintain high standards for project execution, monitor key performance indicators, and promote continuous improvement
- Mentor and guide delivery teams, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence
- Manage program financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and profit and loss oversight
Requirements
- At least 10 years of progressive IT experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior delivery, program, or architecture leadership role
- Participation in at least 8 significant projects or experience launching 2 or more products or major product features to market
- Demonstrated ability to deliver large-scale, enterprise programs with multiple workstreams, teams of 40+ FTEs, and multi-year timelines
- Proven leadership in complex programs within the energy sector, including Oil & Gas, Renewable Energy, or Utilities
- Strong background in pre-sales, including RFP/RFI management, solution design, estimation, and client presentations
- Experience managing large, multi-vendor project environments
- In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies such as PMI, PRINCE2, and Agile frameworks
- Advanced stakeholder management skills, especially with executive-level engagement
- Educational background in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering is a strong asset
- Fluency in Greek at B2+ level
- Excellent written and spoken English at C1 business level, with strong presentation capabilities
