Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Senior SAP UI5 Engineer to take ownership of enhancing, maintaining, and evolving a service metadata platform that consolidates critical information, empowering users to make informed decisions efficiently. Your expertise will contribute to developing new features, ensuring system reliability, and driving continuous improvement for the solution.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop user interfaces and functionality for the metadata platform
  • Optimize UI5 components and modules to enhance user experience and usability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate backend services with UI5 development
  • Troubleshoot technical issues, implement fixes, and provide user support
  • Maintain high-quality documentation, including user guides and technical specifications for developed solutions
  • Enhance platform reliability, scalability, and performance
  • Implement testing strategies to ensure robust and maintainable solutions
  • Monitor and analyze system performance to proactively address bottlenecks
  • Drive improvements by suggesting refinements and adopting best practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 3+ years of professional experience in full-stack development, including expertise in SAP UI5, Node.js, and JavaScript
  • Knowledge of SAP HANA DB for effective database operations
  • Background in creating scalable and maintainable software architectures
  • Familiarity with database integration, web service APIs, and UI optimization
  • Analytical and logical skills with a proven ability to quickly understand complex systems and workflows
  • Strong team-oriented mindset with goal-driven working style and fluency in English (B2 level)

Nice to have

  • Expertise in TypeScript for scalable and maintainable code development
  • Background in the SAP CAP framework for building robust cloud-based applications
  • Familiarity with Fiori design principles to improve user experience
  • Understanding of SAP integration scenarios and lifecycle management tools
  • Experience modernizing legacy systems and transitioning architectures
