AHEAD builds platforms for digital business and is looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer to design, develop and deploy solutions for various technologies. The role requires a highly experienced field professional with a breadth of knowledge across open-source, enterprise and cloud technologies. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivery and be able to lead engagements and exhibit commercial awareness along with mature communication skills.

Requirements

  • Customer-facing role for a minimum of 5+ years
  • 3+ years designing, securing, and deploying large-scale applications and solutions
  • Experience with one of the major cloud vendor environments (development, access, migration)
  • Subject matter expert in at least one major cloud provider (AWS)
  • Architect level development skills in at least one development language (Java, Python, PowerShell, etc.)
  • Strong CI/CD/DevOps skills and understanding of pipelines, workflows, BitBucket is strongly preferred, GitHub actions, etc.
  • Strong CloudFormation and Terraform development experience
  • Strong networking skills are a must, being able to work with and explain the various technologies involved (i.e. VNets, subnets, route tables, security groups, LB's, API gateway, etc.)
  • Strong skills integrating third party tools and solutions
  • Strong project and situational awareness
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Self-starter and shows initiative to get work completed

  • Proven skills in multiple billable technologies (as measured by certification/approved training completion/proven abilities)
