Overview

We are seeking an experienced Lead Fluent Commerce OMS Engineer to join our team.

In this role, you will play a key part in solution design, feature development, and issue resolution within the Fluent Commerce ecosystem. You will contribute as a backend engineer, enhancing OMS capabilities, resolving defects, and guiding the team on best practices for scalable and maintainable implementations.

Responsibilities

  • Create and review technical specifications and technical user stories to ensure clarity and completeness
  • Support backlog refinement and confirm development readiness of requirements
  • Implement features and enhancements from the product backlog
  • Develop and oversee unit test automation to maintain code quality
  • Assist in resolving defects and troubleshooting issues within the OMS platform
  • Participate in PI Planning sessions and Quarterly Alignment Days (QADs) to align on priorities and deliverables
  • Ensure technical documentation is accurate, comprehensive, and kept up to date
  • Prepare for releases and manage production deployments within the OMS scope, including coordinating deployment activities
  • Maintain and optimize GitLab CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and delivery
  • Oversee platform and application changes involving AWS, GitLab, Spring Boot, WebFlux, MongoDB, and Python-based components
  • Focus on reliability, supportability, and adherence to Fluent Commerce architecture and operational standards

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in software engineering or related roles
  • Minimum of one year in a people management or team leadership position
  • Hands-on experience with Fluent Commerce / Fluent OMS for order management solutions
  • Practical knowledge of GitLab for version control and CI/CD pipeline management
  • Experience working with microservices architectures for scalable backend systems
  • Strong proficiency in Spring Boot and Spring WebFlux for backend development
  • Fluent English skills (written and spoken) at a B2+ level or higher
