We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist to lead our distributed team. In this position, you will guide Data Science excellence across the region and tackle diverse initiatives, including NLP/LLM, Computer Vision, Time Series, and more.

Responsibilities

  • Define the technology vision for AI/ML-driven solutions in collaboration with EPAM's clients and teams
  • Offer strategies to solve business challenges
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver value-oriented solutions to clients
  • Remain informed on the latest advancements in Data Science and AI
  • Mentor and advance the organization's Data Science skills
  • Drive key initiatives in AI and Data Science

Requirements

  • 6+ years of professional experience in Data Science and Machine Learning in production settings
  • Proficiency in at least two areas: Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning Engineering, Computer Vision, Time Series, or Recommendation Systems
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure
  • Expertise in Deep Learning methodologies
  • Programming skills, preferably in Python
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams effectively
  • B2+ level of English proficiency, both written and verbal

Nice to have

  • Proven background in collaborating with clients in the Middle East region
  • Experience in Oil and Gas or E-commerce industries
