Overview
We're looking for a Software Architect to join our team in Lisbon, Portugal in a hybrid working mode. You will play a key role in shaping the technological strategy for the Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) division. This position involves driving architectural standards, ensuring compliance with guidelines and contributing to the continuous improvement of engineering practices. The role offers an opportunity to influence technology choices and innovation across a dynamic technological landscape.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to studies on adopting programming languages and developer frameworks across the technology stack
- Ensure application teams adhere to CIB technology standards during solution design and implementation
- Review and contribute to technical designs and specifications
- Identify, manage and report technical risks
- Validate technologies and software used within CIB systems
- Drive innovation by suggesting new technical practices for efficiency improvement
- Participate in Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and technical evaluations of emerging technologies
- Optimize engineering practices by integrating modern tools and methods
- Support the evolution of DevSecOps toolchains
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Technology Architect with expertise in architecture patterns, principles and DevSecOps practices
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages and experience in building production-level software
- Strong understanding of Cloud solutions, KaaS, IaaS and PaaS hosting environments
- Solid experience with monolithic, n-tier, SOA and microservices architectures in cloud or virtualized environments
- In-depth knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools
- Familiarity with middleware components such as WAF, VIP, load balancers, message queues, event brokers and API gateways
- Strong knowledge of IT security within application and architecture domains, including encryption, authentication, authorization and vulnerability management
- Ability to perform technical risk assessments and ensure architectural compliance with organizational standards
- Abstract and analytical thinking skills to evaluate technical designs
