Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Integration Engineer to join our team in building and maintaining effective technology solutions to support investment functions such as trade flows, accounting, reconciliation, reporting, and automated batch scheduling workflows.

This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and focuses on aligning financial data with platforms like Simcorp Dimension to enhance operational efficiency and business impact.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Product Owner, Scrum Master, Subject Matter Experts, and Development team to analyze and improve user stories using Jira
  • Design and deploy scalable software solutions for data integration using advanced technologies
  • Engage in data configuration to ensure accurate data flow across systems and improve integration workflows
  • Showcase functional solutions during sprint reviews and communicate the business impact of completed products
  • Build and manage CI/CD pipelines with BitBucket/GitHub and Bamboo for continuous delivery and optimization
  • Develop SQL database views, stored procedures, and functions to streamline data processes
  • Create ETL solutions using Python (Pandas/NumPy) and conduct unit testing to ensure code reliability
  • Prepare and maintain data visualizations through tools like Power BI or Tableau for actionable business insights
  • Follow best practices in Data Warehousing methodologies, including Dimensional Modeling (Kimball) and Data Extraction
  • Integrate financial data with investment systems such as Simcorp Dimension for precise operations and reporting
  • Work within an Agile scrum team to provide iterative, high-quality software solutions tailored to business demands

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent professional experience
  • 2+ years of experience as a Data Engineer
  • Expertise in SQL for programming views, stored procedures, and functions
  • Proficiency in Python for ETL tools (Pandas/NumPy, unit testing) and data pipeline construction
  • Competency in using Cloud platforms like AWS for development and deployment
  • Experience with business intelligence tools, including Power BI or Tableau
  • Qualifications in CI/CD tools such as BitBucket/GitHub and Bamboo
  • Familiarity with Data Warehousing techniques (Dimensional Modeling, Kimball) and data extraction
  • Background in integrating financial data into systems for reporting, calculations, and trading activities
  • Understanding of Agile development practices such as sprint planning, iterative delivery, and retrospectives

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of financial systems for investment accounting or general ledger structures
  • Proficiency in integrating large-scale financial investment or ERP systems (e.g., SimCorp Dimension, Investment Management Warehouse)
  • Skills in delivering data solutions through resources like AWS (S3, Glue, Athena, Lambda), Snowflake, Snaplogic, and orchestration tools
  • Capability to implement Agile data solutions successfully, incorporating story sizing and teamwork within scaled frameworks
