Responsibilities

  • Lead comprehensive solution delivery across assigned accounts
  • Establish governance for production and delivery aligned to chosen delivery methods
  • Coordinate staffing to ensure the right competencies and seniority for each project
  • Architect durable solutions while providing strong technical leadership
  • Coordinate collaboration across disciplines and stakeholders
  • Cultivate and expand long-term client relationships
  • Handle client escalations and minimize engagement risks
  • Draft client proposals and statements of work
  • Champion adherence to EPAM methodologies, emphasizing agile practices
  • Maintain client accountability throughout engagements
  • Develop delivery schedules with time, quality, and resource estimates
  • Execute ongoing risk management to inform key decisions
  • Measure and optimize delivery performance metrics
  • Contribute technical and managerial expertise to sales bids
  • Develop delivery managers through coaching and mentorship
  • Participate in EPAM’s delivery management community

Requirements

  • Extensive experience (15+ years) in leading Data and Analytics, Big Data, Data Warehousing, and BI projects
  • Strong understanding of data engineering and data platform solutions, including batch and streaming processes
  • Hands-on expertise in Big Data technology stacks such as Hadoop, Yarn, HDFS, MapReduce, Hive, Spark, Kafka
  • Background in Python, Scala, or Java programming with a focus on analytics and machine learning
  • Proficiency in SQL and cloud data technologies, and maintaining Big Data solutions
  • Knowledge of data architecture and software delivery workflows
  • Familiarity with data visualization concepts and tools
  • Understanding of traditional analytics methods and theories
  • Experience in agile and other delivery methodologies
  • Awareness of data security considerations
  • Expertise in leading cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and transitioning to cloud environments
  • Strong presentation capabilities tailored to varying audience sizes
  • Capability to oversee multiple projects in dynamic environments
  • Excellent client relationship skills and advanced English (C1 level) communications
