EPAM is seeking talented Palantir Foundry-focused Data Engineers to join our growing, globally distributed team. In this role, you will help design and implement analytical solutions that drive business insights and risk analysis for our insurance client, leveraging Palantir Foundry, Python, PySpark and modern data modeling techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Build analytical applications with a focus on accurate risk accumulation analysis
  • Implement backend logic in Python
  • Develop frontend components using Foundry’s UI primitives with JavaScript or TypeScript
  • Work with Foundry code repositories, Workshop and application frameworks
  • Apply enterprise data modeling principles
  • Translate business analysis into interactive dashboards or applications
  • Collaborate within a team to deliver applications with strong UX and advanced visualizations such as maps

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in computer science, data science or a related discipline
  • Practical experience working with Foundry Code Repositories, Workshop and application frameworks
  • 3+ years of experience in PySpark
  • Proficiency in Python for backend or frontend development (excluding Spark)
  • Strong background in SQL and data modeling
  • Experience developing with TypeScript or JavaScript
  • Solid understanding of business or data analysis
  • Familiarity with Agile and Scrum development methodologies

Nice to have

  • Understanding of UX patterns for analytical workflows such as maps and visualizations
  • Additional experience implementing backend logic in Python
