Overview

We are looking for a Solution Architect (Alibaba Cloud) to lead the design and delivery of a secure, scalable and cloud‑native enterprise architecture. Partnering with product, engineering and business stakeholders, you serve as the technical authority for cloud security, identity and access management and authorization. Your work directly enables global e‑commerce and digital transformation initiatives for a Fortune 500 global leader in paints, coatings and specialty materials.

Responsibilities

  • Design and lead end‑to‑end solution architecture on Alibaba Cloud aligned with enterprise standards and business strategy
  • Own architecture decisions for scalability, resiliency, security and performance across distributed systems
  • Define and enforce identity, authentication, authorization and access control frameworks using cloud‑native services
  • Establish architecture standards, reference architectures and governance practices
  • Translate architectural vision into executable designs in close collaboration with engineering teams
  • Architect secure and scalable network designs using VPC, Server Load Balancer, Global Traffic Manager and Alibaba Cloud CDN
  • Implement continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) and infrastructure automation using Resource Orchestration Service (ROS) and Terraform

Requirements

  • Deep expertise in Alibaba Cloud compute and platform services including ECS, Auto Scaling, ACK, Function Compute and SAE
  • Strong background in designing microservices-based and API-first architectures leveraging API Gateway, Message Queue and event-driven integration patterns
  • Hands on experience on Azure Cloud Service/ Gateway/ Traffic
  • Extensive experience in cloud identity and access management including Alibaba Cloud RAM, role-based access control (RBAC) and least-privilege security models
  • Knowledge of cross-account authorization and trust policies for multi-account and enterprise-scale environments
  • Experience securing secrets and encryption using Key Management Service (KMS)
  • Proven ability to design data and storage platforms using OSS, ApsaraDB RDS, PolarDB and ApsaraDB for Redis
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-native DevOps practices, infrastructure automation and Terraform with the Alibaba Cloud provider
  • Clear communication skills to effectively partner with product, engineering and business stakeholders
