Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead DevOps Engineer to oversee the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of the KNIME Hub and its Azure-based infrastructure.


This role will play a pivotal part in driving the migration from the on-prem KNIME Server to the cloud environment while ensuring operational excellence, security, and scalability.

Responsibilities

  • Deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters in Azure AKS and on-premises
  • Install and configure Argo CD for efficient application management
  • Set up Azure Storage (S3-compatible) and Azure PostgreSQL resources
  • Configure authentication and authorization integrations such as OKTA, LDAP, and Splunk
  • Manage repositories and oversee application deployment
  • Ensure seamless migration of workflows and data from KNIME Server to KNIME Business Hub on Azure
  • Collaborate with architects and administrators to support application installation and integration
  • Contribute to smooth validation processes and handover to the KNIME Admin Team
  • Drive compliance with DevOps best practices and maintain secure, reliable operations

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with Kubernetes deployment, management, and troubleshooting in Azure AKS or on-premises environments
  • Proficiency with Argo CD and CI/CD pipeline tools
  • Knowledge of Azure Storage and Azure PostgreSQL configurations
  • Skills in authentication/authorization setups using OKTA, LDAP, or Splunk
  • Expertise in application installation, configuration, and migration
  • Track record of supporting cloud migration strategies and implementations
  • Background in managing cloud and on-premises infrastructure
  • Upper-Intermediate English language proficiency (B2)

Nice to have

  • Experience with enterprise Kubernetes platforms like OpenShift, Tanzu, Rancher, or vanilla K8s
  • Familiarity with Git-based repositories and integration with CI/CD tools
  • Showcase of experience with KNIME or similar workflow automation and data analytics platforms
  • Expertise in Azure services and related cloud migration projects
