We are inviting a Lead Python Developer to guide backend engineering with Python, FastAPI, and Django while supporting a modern React and TypeScript interface. Responsibilities

  • Architect and improve backend services using modern frameworks
  • Drive scalable platform design by contributing to core architecture decisions
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to build and roll out new features
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and optimize performance where needed
  • Maintain coding standards and promote clean, maintainable code
  • Engage in roadmap planning and contribute to technical estimations
  • Support application deployments and assist with release execution
  • Foster continuous learning by sharing experience and mentoring peers

Requirements

  • Strong 5+ years practical experience in Python development, including FastAPI and Django backend solutions
  • Proven 1+ year track record leading teams and providing day-to-day engineering guidance
  • Solid command of React and TypeScript for dynamic front-end implementation
  • Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, including schema design and database stewardship
  • Practical proficiency with Docker for packaging and deploying applications
  • Demonstrated commitment to automated testing with unit and integration coverage
  • Experience contributing in agile teams on complex, high-impact work
  • Team-oriented collaboration skills, including active participation in code reviews
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with remote teams across multiple locations
  • Working experience with Jira and Confluence for workflow management and documentation
  • Knowledge of S3, Lambda, AWS AKS, and CloudWatch for cloud-native infrastructure management
  • Advanced English proficiency (B2+ upper-intermediate or above), written and spoken

Nice to have

  • Experience automating workflows and CI/CD using GitHub Actions
  • Familiarity with Jira and GitHub integration to simplify coordination
  • Understanding of DevOps principles to optimize engineering and operations
  • Background in financial services or Treasury, including payments, wire transfers, reconciliations, and cash management
