Overview

We are looking for a remote Middle Automation Tester to join our team and work on an exciting project in the Google Cloud Platform. As an Automation Tester, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of the project by designing and executing automated tests. You will work closely with a team of developers, product owners, and business analysts to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet the client's needs.

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute automated tests for Web Service and API testing, ensuring the quality of the project
  • Write high-quality test scripts in Java, improving the overall efficiency of testing
  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business analysts to ensure the project meets the client's needs
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
  • Provide regular updates on the testing progress to the project team
  • Identify and report defects, working with the development team to ensure they are resolved
  • Continuously improve the test automation framework and processes, identifying areas for improvement
  • Mentor and guide less experienced colleagues, taking part in programs to foster growth and learning within the team

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in automated testing, with a strong foundation in Java language
  • Experience in designing and executing automated tests for Web Service and API testing
  • Strong experience with Agile methodologies, with a deep understanding of the software development lifecycle
  • Proficient in Web UI Test Automation tools in Java, such as Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, and Cucumber
  • Experience in testing in cloud environments, with knowledge of Google Cloud Platform
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, allowing you to tackle complex technical challenges and provide optimal solutions
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently, managing own time effectively
  • Upper-Intermediate English language skills, enabling effective communication with the team and stakeholders

Nice to have

  • Experience in testing microservices and cloud-native applications, providing valuable domain-specific knowledge and insights
  • Familiarity with other testing frameworks and tools, broadening the technical knowledge within the team
  • Knowledge of performance testing and load testing, enabling efficient testing of software solutions
  • Experience in testing security, ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of customer data and systems
