Overview
We are seeking a talented Lead DevOps Engineer to join our remote team, working on a project focused on Kubernetes, Networking, Terraform, and Azure DevOps. As a Lead DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining a robust infrastructure with next-gen technologies. You will work closely with the development team, understanding their stack, code, and dependencies to build a reliable infrastructure that supports the application and infrastructure monitoring system. You will also play a vital role in creating deployment models/strategies and capacity planning for Dev, QA, Staging, and Production environments, ensuring the stability, reliability, and availability of applications and services.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain a robust infrastructure with next-gen technologies
- Collaborate with the development team to understand their stack, code, and dependencies
- Create deployment models/strategies and capacity planning for Dev, QA, Staging, and Production environments
- Provide recommendations for improvement of infrastructure, technology, operational capability, reliability, and performance
- Participate in day-to-day operations to ensure stability, reliability, and availability of applications and services for the business
- Work with cross-functional teams to design, architect, document, and deliver the DevOps roadmap for your teams
- Provide timely support and assistance on any critical issues to the peers on a timely basis and be a mentor
- Continuously look for ways to optimize and streamline the HAVI infrastructure
- Find opportunities for continuous improvements to our system
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in DevOps, highlighting your expertise in Microsoft Azure and scripting languages
- 1+ years of team leading experience
- Hands-on experience in designing, planning, and building infrastructure using orchestration and configuration management tools
- Strong understanding of industry best practices for cloud infrastructure, including governance models, security, and cost management
- Experience in capacity planning and creating deployment models/strategies for Dev, QA, Staging, and Production environments
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects, driving them to closure
- Excellent leadership skills, working with cross-functional teams to design, architect, document, and deliver the DevOps roadmap for your teams
- Fluent spoken and written English at an upper-intermediate level or higher
