We are building a unified, modern enterprise platform that consolidates multiple legacy client portals into a single scalable solution. The system serves global enterprise customers and supports mission-critical workflows related to domain management, online brand protection, and digital asset monitoring. This is a complex migration and modernization initiative focused on achieving full feature parity while improving architecture, scalability, and system reliability.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deliver high-quality backend solutions using PHP and Laravel;
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and system design discussions;
  • Participate in the migration of legacy portal functionality into a unified platform;
  • Work with event-driven systems using RabbitMQ;
  • Develop and maintain scalable database schemas and optimize complex queries in MySQL;
  • Build and support frontend components when needed using Nuxt.js / Vue.js;
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code (unit, integration, and feature tests);
  • Collaborate closely with QA to ensure high-quality releases and regression prevention;
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, demos);
  • Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis;
  • Collaborate with distributed engineering teams across multiple time zones (US / UK / Brazil).

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of commercial software engineering experience;
  • Strong hands-on experience with PHP 8.x and Laravel (or comparable modern frameworks);
  • Solid experience with RabbitMQ or other event-driven messaging systems;
  • Strong MySQL expertise (query optimization, indexing, schema design);
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services;
  • Experience with Nuxt.js / Vue.js or similar frontend frameworks;
  • Strong understanding of software testing practices (PHPUnit / Pest);
  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and Git workflows;
  • Ability to work in distributed, multi-timezone teams;
  • Strong English communication skills;
  • Experience in Agile / Scrum / Kanban environments.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot, Cursor, Claude);
  • Background in SaaS, multi-tenant platforms, or large-scale B2B systems;
  • Experience with legacy system migration or modernization projects.
