General Job Description:We are seeking a Senior Software Architect to lead the modernization of a mission-critical platform as it transitions to a fully cloud-native, event-driven architecture. Reporting to the CTO, this role serves as the senior technical authority guiding architectural direction, establishing engineering standards, and partnering closely with business, product, and engineering leadership. The architect will shape both short- and long-term platform strategy, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability while enabling teams to adopt modern CI/CD, DevOps, and AI-assisted development practices. This role requires deep mortgage-industry experience, strong expertise in cloud architecture, and the ability to mentor teams through complex technical transformations.
Job Requirements:
- Must have experience architecting AWS, .NET Mortgage applications
- Recent experience working on AI products and AI-assisted development tools (Low Code or No Code environments)
- 8+ years of software development experience with 3+ years leading architecture for large-scale, enterprise platforms.
- Deep expertise in designing cloud-native solutions on AWS, including Lambda, EC2, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation).
- Proven ability to design and standardize microservices and event-driven architectures that are scalable, performant, and repeatable.
- Strong hands-on experience with modern application stacks, including .NET Core, React, and data platforms across SQL and NoSQL technologies (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB).
- Experience guiding engineering teams on CI/CD best practices, platform performance optimization, and buy-versus-build architectural decisions.
- Ability to partner with business, product, and engineering leaders to align short- and long-term platform architecture with evolving business needs;
