Overview

We are looking for a Senior Endpoint Engineer to join our organization. In this position, you will play a key role in architecting, optimizing, and maintaining our Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and Microsoft Intune environments for both physical devices and virtual platforms. Your technical leadership will influence nearly every user in the company, making this a vital role for our continued success.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the delivery of technology initiatives and product releases according to the roadmap, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met
  • Offer expert guidance and direction to support process adherence and timely project completion
  • Provide top-tier support for operations teams, performing root cause investigations and preventative analysis
  • Serve as the escalation contact for the Desktop Operations team and all End User Computing matters, with a focus on endpoint security and application management
  • Work closely with other engineering teams to create integrated technical solutions
  • Oversee the Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environment, including image management, VM deployment, and performance tracking
  • Build automated workflows for software package deployment, application updates, and workstation imaging
  • Engineer and maintain a variety of Windows desktop images
  • Manage the full lifecycle of standard desktop and laptop models across the organization
  • Architect and implement Microsoft Intune solutions tailored to end user needs
  • Develop and administer Intune policies for application deployment, device compliance, and security settings
  • Ensure smooth integration with Microsoft 365 services
  • Design and execute Windows 11 provisioning using Intune Autopilot, and manage Windows Update for Business policies
  • Create and maintain standardized Windows 11 deployment images
  • Develop and manage Group Policy Objects (GPOs) in Active Directory to enforce security and configuration standards
  • Coordinate with the Active Directory team to align with overall infrastructure objectives
  • Apply security best practices and compliance measures within Intune, and monitor/respond to endpoint security incidents
  • Produce and update comprehensive documentation for Intune setups, Windows provisioning, and Group Policy configurations
  • Maintain desktop images and adjust SCCM task sequences as necessary
  • Package, test, and roll out new applications as needed
  • Expand and update the Knowledge Base, and develop support documentation to ensure high-quality End User Computing services

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience designing and implementing Microsoft Intune solutions and working as a system engineer
  • Practical experience in desktop engineering and support in large-scale enterprise environments
  • Demonstrated expertise with Windows 11, Active Directory architecture, and Group Policy administration
  • Background in developing and testing software packages using InstallShield or equivalent tools
  • Proficiency in managing Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), preferably with Azure Virtual Desktop
  • Advanced skills in Endpoint Protection Engineering, including security and compliance practices
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) and Intune
  • High-level experience in patch management, including BIOS and firmware updates
  • English fluency (written and spoken) at B2+ level or above
