Overview

We are seeking a Lead Systems Engineer - GCP to drive the design, implementation and maintenance of robust cloud infrastructure for our data mesh architecture project.

This role requires deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform, DevOps practices and the ability to collaborate across teams to ensure scalable, secure and reliable solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design, configure and maintain the GCP environment for the data mesh architecture project
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure using an Infrastructure as Code approach on GCP
  • Create CI/CD pipelines and automation with cloud-specific deployment models using GitHub Actions
  • Collaborate with various teams to define cloud infrastructure requirements and ensure scalability, security and reliability of the GCP platform
  • Develop and implement continuous integration and deployment pipelines using DevOps principles
  • Create and maintain documentation related to the GCP infrastructure and deployments
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues or performance bottlenecks related to the GCP platform

Requirements

  • 8-12 years of working experience in systems engineering or related fields
  • Strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform and its services including compute, storage and networking
  • Proficiency in DevOps practices and tools including continuous integration and deployment
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing cloud infrastructure using GCP
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and capability to troubleshoot complex issues in a timely manner
