Overview

We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist to lead our distributed team across multiple locations.

In this position, you will enhance Data Science capabilities in the region while engaging in diverse projects, including NLP/LLM, Computer Vision, Time Series, and more.

Responsibilities

  • Define the technology strategy for AI/ML solutions in partnership with EPAM's clients and teams
  • Identify methods to address complex business requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create measurable business outcomes
  • Remain informed about cutting-edge developments in Data Science and AI
  • Guide and build Data Science expertise within the team
  • Drive strategic innovation in AI and Data Science

Requirements

  • 6+ years of practical experience in Data Science or Machine Learning at the production level
  • Proficiency in at least two areas, such as Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning Engineering, Computer Vision, Time Series, or Recommendation Systems
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
  • Expertise in Deep Learning methodologies
  • Skills in programming, preferably using Python
  • Strong leadership qualities and team management experience
  • B2+ level of English proficiency for both written and verbal communication

Nice to have

  • Proven success in collaborating with clients from the Middle East region
  • Background in industries like Oil and Gas or E-commerce
