Overview

We are seeking a skilled remote Middle Automation Tester in Java with a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience, to join our team.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing test plans, test cases, and automated tests to ensure the quality of our API. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, contribute to the continuous improvement of our testing practices, and ensure that our API meets the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a Test plan that defines the scope and objectives of the testing, the test cases to be executed, along with the tools and techniques you will use
  • Create test cases that cover all your API functionalities, including the Feature toggle on/off, error handling scenarios, and edge cases
  • Automate the testing process to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the testing
  • Execute your test cases, record the results, and report the defects or issues
  • Perform load and stress testing to evaluate your API's performance under heavy traffic and concurrent users
  • Perform security/network testing to identify vulnerabilities and ensure your API's secure against potential threats
  • Perform regression testing to ensure that changes to the API do not break the existing functionality
  • Document the details about test cases, test results, and any issues or defects identified during the testing

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in Automated Testing in Java
  • Strong proficiency in Postman, SoapUI (Open Source), Test Automation Frameworks, Git, Web Service / API Test Automation
  • Experience in developing test plans, test cases, and automated tests, as well as executing and reporting on test results
  • Experience in load and stress testing, security/network testing, and regression testing
  • Experience in documenting test cases, test results, and any issues or defects identified during the testing process
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and troubleshoot issues effectively
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional teams
  • Fluent English language skills with an Upper-Intermediate level or higher
