Overview

We are seeking a Chief Network Security Engineer to support a staff augmentation engagement with a leading Oil & Gas client, strengthening hybrid cloud and on-prem network security. You will lead secure network design and operations across AWS and Azure and help keep critical connectivity resilient—apply to join the team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead network security architecture for hybrid environments across cloud and on-prem connectivity
  • Design secure AWS networking and security controls for VPCs, routing, Security Groups, WAF, and connectivity
  • Implement Azure networking security using VNets, NSGs, Azure Firewall, and Application Gateway
  • Configure and maintain firewalls, prioritizing Palo Alto and supporting Cisco ASA/Firepower where needed
  • Integrate web filtering and SASE solutions such as Prisma Access to enforce secure access
  • Deploy and tune load balancing solutions using F5, A10, or cloud equivalents
  • Troubleshoot complex network issues across TCP/IP, DNS, and NAT to restore services quickly
  • Collaborate with client stakeholders to align security controls with operational needs in Oil & Gas environments

Requirements

  • 7+ years of hands-on network security experience
  • Strong leadership capability to guide network security decisions and standards
  • Proven project experience delivering hybrid cloud and on-prem connectivity initiatives
  • Advanced AWS networking and security skills (VPCs, routing, Security Groups, WAF, connectivity)
  • Working Azure networking skills (VNets, NSGs, Azure Firewall, Application Gateway)
  • Hands-on firewall skills (Palo Alto preferred; Cisco ASA/Firepower acceptable)
  • Load balancer knowledge (F5, A10, or cloud equivalents)
  • SASE/web filtering experience (Prisma Access or similar)
  • Strong TCP/IP networking fundamentals including DNS and NAT
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for complex network and connectivity issues
  • Upper-Intermediate English proficiency (B2, Upper-Intermediate)
