We are seeking a Lead Enablement Engineer to empower engineering teams by improving operational practices, fostering technical excellence, and driving efficiency across the software development lifecycle (SDLC). This role focuses on enabling teams to adopt best practices, elevate their capabilities, and deliver high-quality software in a complex and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to identify and implement strategies for better SDLC processes
  • Enhance team capabilities in CI/CD, ensuring efficient and reliable software deployments
  • Support teams in improving observability practices, including implementing and optimizing logging, metrics, and monitoring solutions
  • Facilitate the adoption of security best practices, such as SAST tools and policy compliance, to ensure secure development pipelines
  • Provide guidance on backend engineering challenges such as API design, database practices, and distributed systems architecture
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving complex issues in distributed systems, promoting system resilience and reliability
  • Partner with teams to standardize engineering tools, processes, and patterns for scalable and reusable implementations
  • Promote a knowledge-sharing culture, enabling teams to align with industry standards and adopt proven engineering methodologies
  • Advocate for long-term, sustainable solutions that align with organizational goals
  • Serve as a technical mentor to help teams improve their practices and capabilities across engineering disciplines
  • Drive improvements in testing, performance strategies, and operational readiness

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in backend, platform, or DevOps engineering roles
  • At least 1 year of relevant leadership experience
  • Expertise in backend technologies, including Java, Spring Boot, and databases such as PostgreSQL
  • Proficiency in CI/CD tooling such as GitHub Enterprise or similar platforms
  • Background in cloud-based infrastructures, particularly Kubernetes and AWS
  • Knowledge of observability tools such as Datadog, logging frameworks, and metrics systems
  • Understanding of SDLC methodologies, including agile practices, testing strategies, and operational best practices
  • Experience with troubleshooting and ensuring reliability in distributed systems
  • Familiarity with implementing foundational security tooling and practices, including SAST and policies
  • Competency in standardizing and improving processes across teams to foster long-term success
  • Commitment to a multiplier mindset by enabling other teams and driving organization-wide improvements
  • English proficiency at a B2+ level

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with feature flagging tools, such as LaunchDarkly
  • Understanding of scaled agile frameworks like SAFe
  • Hands-on experience with team collaboration tools like Jira or Confluence
  • Knowledge of advanced observability techniques and emerging tooling trends
  • Showcase of enabling cross-team alignment and collaboration in complex environments
