Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Java Developer to join our agile team within the Asset Management IT group. You will play a pivotal role in designing and developing next-generation business applications with a focus on scalable, reliable and high-performing solutions for a leading global financial institution.

This role offers a hybrid model, with 3 days per week working from the client's office in Wroclaw, Poland.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technology solutions to address complex business challenges
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and enhance business applications
  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to refine requirements and deliver effective solutions
  • Assess new projects and initiatives delivering technical recommendations
  • Write high-quality code adhering to organizational standards
  • Conduct code reviews and perform software testing when required
  • Mentor and support junior developers to enhance team expertise
  • Maintain and enforce code quality standards with other senior engineers

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience building critical distributed systems using Java
  • Expertise in messaging/middleware, Spring, Spring Boot, and build tools like Maven or Gradle
  • Proficiency in version control systems such as Git/GitLab and containerization technologies such as Docker
  • Experience with Azure Cloud Services and understanding of microservice architecture
  • Knowledge of data structures and strong problem-solving abilities
  • Familiarity with SQL scripting (e.g., MSSQL) and Python scripting
  • Understanding of DevOps concepts, including CI/CD and automated testing
  • Proven ability to mentor junior developers and guide technical projects
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (B2 level or higher)
