Overview

We are seeking a Senior Embedded Engineer (.NET) to join our team in Hungary, focusing on the development and optimization of embedded systems for telecommunication and tracking devices within automotive and telematics domains.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain applications using .NET for embedded Linux environments
  • Configure embedded Linux kernels and optimize system performance
  • Design firmware architecture for telecommunication and tracking devices
  • Integrate and troubleshoot hardware-software interfaces in vehicle telematics devices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and coordinate with stakeholders
  • Diagnose and resolve complex hardware-software integration issues
  • Manage full lifecycle software development projects
  • Document development processes and create technical reports
  • Utilize source code repositories and version control systems such as Git
  • Apply continuous integration and deployment practices
  • Ensure security protocols and encryption techniques are implemented

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in embedded systems and application development
  • Proficiency in .NET, C# and experience with C or C++
  • Knowledge of bash and Python for scripting and automation
  • Expertise in embedded Linux development, including kernel configuration and system optimization
  • Background in firmware development for telecommunication and tracking devices
  • Understanding of Bluetooth protocol, mobile communication protocols and GPS, experience with LTE modems
  • Experience with vehicle diagnostic tools, telematics or related automotive technologies
  • Familiarity with OBD-II protocols and vehicle diagnostic systems, including knowledge of PIDs
  • Experience with ARM architecture and Cortex-A, Cortex-M processors
  • Capability to use cross-compilation and build tools such as Yocto and Buildroot
  • Strong analytical skills for system optimization and troubleshooting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
