Overview
We're looking for a Business Development Manager to join our team in Amsterdam, Netherlands, in a hybrid working mode. You will be responsible for driving revenue related to our Amazon Web Services (AWS) offering by working closely with our internal Cloud Consulting, Marketing, Alliances and Delivery teams, as well as with Amazon Cloud.
To be successful, you will need to achieve results through relationships and influence. You will help identify and originate AWS project opportunities through multiple channels: your own research, joint planning with EPAM and Amazon Cloud Account Managers in current client accounts, collaboration with Amazon Cloud Partners and Vertical Managers, joint proposition development with EPAM Cloud Consultants and active prospecting.
Your role will be that of a skillful originator and coordinator who organizes meetings and follow-up steps that bring together all the different parties—prospects, clients, account managers, strategists, consultants, technologists and delivery experts on both the EPAM and Amazon Cloud side—the multi-disciplinary teams who jointly produce the right solutions for our clients.
You need to be outgoing, self-motivated and proactive. You will need to build your own pipeline through outbound activities.
Responsibilities
- Win AWS business for EPAM in new and existing clients
- Drive all AWS-related sales and marketing activities within your region and share knowledge across regions
- Coordinate and oversee the preparation of business value propositions, sales plans and RFPs/RFQs/RFIs by serving as a liaison to Business Units, sales, partners and executive teams
- Work with Amazon Cloud to identify opportunities and joint target accounts
- Coordinate with EPAM and Amazon Cloud teams regarding joint opportunities, including pipeline and forecast reviews
- Promote EPAM’s capabilities and success stories across Amazon Cloud’s organization to stimulate partner-based lead referrals
- Work with the assigned partner manager to identify, prepare and deliver product messaging to demonstrate EPAM's value proposition as a trusted systems integrator
- Drive joint marketing initiatives with marketing teams
- Develop into the internal trusted advisor on AWS, ensuring internal product management and managing access to early release programs and product roadmaps
- Organize introductory training courses and supplementary materials (e.g., overview presentations and hands-on exercises) to illustrate AWS-specific features and functionalities
Requirements
- 7+ years of relevant experience in all aspects of the sales life cycle
- Ability to identify and engage potential clients by understanding EPAM's value proposition, researching and selecting prospects and contacting them through proactive outbound calls/emails/LinkedIn
- Expertise in collaborating with cross-functional teams to assess opportunities and then put together, pitch and submit solution proposals
- Experience in liaising with the Legal Department to produce and sign relevant contracts
- Solution selling skills and demonstrated success in developing and maintaining client and internal relationships
- Experience with cloud offerings (AWS preferred)
- Ability to communicate effectively across teams with strong verbal, written, collaboration and interpersonal skills
- Strong presentation skills
- High energy level and ability to work independently
- Dutch and English language skills are required for this role
