Overview
As a .NET Developer at EPAM, you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of the Position/Trades booking platform. You will ensure the platform is built to the highest standards of quality, security and performance. This role involves active participation in an agile software development life-cycle, close collaboration with production support teams and direct engagement with traders to provide Level 3 support when required. You will also contribute to migration and refactoring projects, applying your expertise in distributed architectures and software development best practices.
This position requires regular office visits two days per week in Lisbon.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the Position/Trades booking platform
- Ensure the platform meets the highest standards of quality, security and performance
- Participate in an agile-based software development life-cycle, including technical analysis, documentation, development, testing and code reviews
- Collaborate with the production support team for the release and maintenance of platform components
- Work directly with traders and provide Level 3 support as needed
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of software development experience, including at least 2 years in a Senior Developer role
- Advanced knowledge of C#
- Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Proficiency in agile development methodologies
- Experience with migration and refactoring projects to new rails
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent time-management and multi-tasking abilities; able to regularly context-switch
- Proactive and flexible approach to challenges, demonstrating initiative
Nice to have
- Experience with electronic trading platforms or other high-load distributed architectures; familiarity with Oracle Coherence is desirable
- Good understanding of FX products; able to discuss requirements with business stakeholders and perform analysis
