Overview
We're looking for a Data & AI Strategy Consultant to join our team in Berlin, Frankfurt, Munich and Leipzig, Germany in a hybrid working mode.
In this role, you will help senior business leaders translate enterprise strategy into clear, value-led Data & AI transformation agendas. You will operate at the intersection of strategy, value and execution, guiding organizations from ambition to impact by connecting commercial objectives to data, AI, operating model and delivery decisions. This is a business-first, advisory-led role for someone who can credibly engage senior executives, distill complex strategies into pragmatic Data & AI priorities and shape roadmaps, business cases and transformation programs that deliver measurable outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Partner with senior executives to translate corporate strategy into actionable Data & AI strategies and roadmaps
- Identify and prioritize high-value use cases, capabilities and portfolio bets aligned to business outcomes
- Build business cases and value frameworks, quantifying benefits, investments and sequencing
- Define target states for Data, AI, operating models, governance and ways of working
- Shape operating models including decision rights, funding models and portfolio governance
- Lead change and adoption strategies to embed Data & AI into business decision-making
- Mobilize and steer complex Data & AI programs ensuring alignment between strategy, funding and delivery
- Coordinate cross-functional initiatives across Business, Product, Engineering and Operations
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, framing trade-offs and providing clear recommendations
- Mentor and lead consultants, ensuring quality of thinking and delivery
Requirements
- 8–10 years of experience in strategy consulting, transformation or Data & AI advisory roles
- Proven ability to engage and influence VP, SVP and C-suite stakeholders
- Strong track record shaping enterprise strategies, operating models and transformation programs
- Ability to connect business strategy to Data & AI strategy and value realization
- Experience building business cases, investment rationales and value frameworks
- Solid understanding of Data & AI concepts, platforms and operating models
- Strong program and portfolio management skills in complex environments
- Data-literate mindset with ability to use metrics and insights for decision-making
- Exceptional stakeholder management and executive communication skills
- Fluency in structured problem-solving and ability to simplify complexity
Nice to have
- Experience with governance, OKRs or portfolio management
- Exposure to change management or large-scale transformation programs
- Industry experience in data-rich environments such as FMCG, Life Sciences or regulated sectors
