The Product Designer role involves shaping the end-to-end experience of digital products, balancing user-centered design principles with business objectives, and producing designs that are functional, intuitive, and scalable.

Requirements

  • Conduct user interviews, surveys, and usability studies to identify needs and pain points
  • Create personas, journey maps, and user flows to guide design decisions
  • Analyze product usage data to inform iterations
  • Translate insights into low-fidelity sketches and high-fidelity prototypes using Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch
  • Iterate quickly, testing designs with stakeholders and users before development
  • Deliver pixel-perfect designs for web and mobile interfaces
  • Define interaction patterns, animations, and micro-interactions that enhance usability
  • Ensure consistency across platforms by maintaining component libraries and style guides
  • Build and maintain scalable design systems that include typography, color palettes, icons, and reusable components
  • Ensure all teams adopt and adhere to system standards
  • Incorporate WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards into all designs
  • Test for usability across devices, screen sizes, and assistive technologies
  • Partner with product managers to define scope and priorities
  • Work with engineers to ensure designs are implemented accurately
  • Provide ongoing support during development to refine edge cases
  • Gather user feedback after launches and measure product performance
  • Run A/B tests on UI variations to validate improvements
  • Continuously refine workflows to improve user outcomes
