The Product Designer role involves shaping the end-to-end experience of digital products, balancing user-centered design principles with business objectives, and producing designs that are functional, intuitive, and scalable.
Requirements
- Conduct user interviews, surveys, and usability studies to identify needs and pain points
- Create personas, journey maps, and user flows to guide design decisions
- Analyze product usage data to inform iterations
- Translate insights into low-fidelity sketches and high-fidelity prototypes using Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch
- Iterate quickly, testing designs with stakeholders and users before development
- Deliver pixel-perfect designs for web and mobile interfaces
- Define interaction patterns, animations, and micro-interactions that enhance usability
- Ensure consistency across platforms by maintaining component libraries and style guides
- Build and maintain scalable design systems that include typography, color palettes, icons, and reusable components
- Ensure all teams adopt and adhere to system standards
- Incorporate WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards into all designs
- Test for usability across devices, screen sizes, and assistive technologies
- Partner with product managers to define scope and priorities
- Work with engineers to ensure designs are implemented accurately
- Provide ongoing support during development to refine edge cases
- Gather user feedback after launches and measure product performance
- Run A/B tests on UI variations to validate improvements
- Continuously refine workflows to improve user outcomes
