Job Description


Our client operates in the agricultural and research-driven industry, leveraging large volumes of field and operational data to enable advanced analytics and continuous innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and operate scalable end-to-end data pipelines from Oracle and PostgreSQL into a Databricks-based lakehouse

  • Build and maintain data models and transformations supporting analytics, BI, and downstream data products

  • Contribute to the evolution of the data platform (performance optimization, refactoring, scalability improvements)

  • Translate business and analytics requirements into reliable and maintainable data solutions

  • Enable self-service analytics through high-quality, well-documented datasets

  • Support data visualization and reporting use cases (Power BI, Plotly Dash)

  • Apply modern engineering practices: Git, CI/CD, DataOps, and DevOps

  • Work in an agile (Scrum) environment with cross-functional teams

Qualifications

Must have:

  • Strong experience in Data Engineering (design, implementation, operation of data pipelines)

  • Hands-on experience with modern data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, Redshift or similar)

  • Solid SQL skills and experience with relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL preferred)

  • Strong Python skills for data processing and automation

  • Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines and data modelling for analytics

  • Experience working with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines

  • Understanding of REST APIs and data integration patterns

  • Structured, ownership-driven mindset with strong problem-solving skills

  • Professional proficiency in English

Nice to have:
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar tools

  • Experience with BI and visualization tools (Power BI, Plotly Dash)

  • Knowledge of frontend technologies (TypeScript, Angular, React)

  • Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB)

  • Experience optimizing dashboards or working with advanced analytics use cases
