Upvest is seeking an Applied AI Engineer to join their Engineering team, working on leveraging AI to fundamentally change how the company operates.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a scale-up, in roles such as solutions engineer, technical consultant, AI product engineer, or similar.
- Hands-on experience shipping AI agents and building end-to-end automations with tools like n8n.
- MCP experience, having built or worked with MCP servers and connecting LLMs to internal tools, APIs and data sources.
- Coaching mindset, having upskilled non-technical teams on AI tooling and driven real adoption.
- Pragmatism, defining ROI, iterating, and shipping solutions without over-engineering.
- Business acumen, connecting technical work to business outcomes and thinking in terms of impact.
- Stakeholder skills, running discovery sessions and presenting confidently to senior, non-technical audiences.
- Regulated industry experience, having worked in fintech or a closely adjacent field and understanding compliance constraints.
