We are looking for a Middle+/Senior Game Designer who wants to own a game and see it scale.

Astro Cat is an outsourcing studio that has worked on games such as Spongebob Krusty Cook-Off, Star Trek Timelines, Narcos: Cartel Wars, Army of Heroes, and Dragon World.

We are now building our own idle game — and it’s already showing very strong early KPIs. Now we need you — a Middle+/Senior Game Designer who can take the existing 3-hour core experience and turn it into something players never leave. We’ve got the foundation, team, and momentum. A big part of what happens next will be in your hands.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Own the game balance — design the player experience through numbers, with long-term retention and LTV in mind;
  • Drive design direction and roadmap;
  • Own monetization design and implementation;
  • Benchmark your designs against other idle games to determine viability;
  • Drive development alongside a dedicated team of engineers, artists, etc.

What we’re looking for:

  • 3+ years in game design;
  • Hands-on experience with a live, successful idle game (balancing is a must);
  • Strong in systems design, balance, and monetization;
  • Obsession with the idle genre and deep understanding of the market;
  • The kind of brain that sees a retention curve and gets emotionally invested;
  • English B2+ (Game Director is a native speaker).
