Overview
We're looking for an End User Support Engineer to join our on-site team in Amsterdam. This role will be integral in providing IT support to colleagues and clients within a busy European hub while delivering remote assistance to teams across Europe. You will ensure smooth daily operations, resolve technical issues and promote best IT practices.
In this role, you can expect to expand your skills and develop expertise in advanced engineering areas including AI technologies.
Responsibilities
- Provide first-line and second-line support for IT incidents and service requests related to hardware and software
- Deliver onboarding IT training to new employees covering EPAM’s infrastructure and tools
- Document processes, support activities and incident reports for internal use
- Coordinate with external vendors and global IT teams to resolve complex issues
- Maintain and update the company’s asset inventory systems
- Monitor and maintain IT equipment in communication and meeting rooms to ensure availability
- Install and configure computer hardware, peripherals and network applications on-site
- Guide users step by step, either in person or remotely through MS Teams, to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems
- Develop strong working relationships with employees and stakeholders promoting effective IT practices
- Support process improvement by sharing feedback and suggesting enhancements to IT services
Requirements
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting Windows, Linux and Apple operating systems
- Basic knowledge of networking principles including TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows Server components such as Active Directory and WSUS
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities across different OS environments
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline
- Fluent in English (Dutch language huge advantage)
- User-focused attitude with a commitment to helping colleagues resolve daily IT issues
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills within cross-functional teams
- Ability to work in a multi-level organisation and adapt to a dynamic environment
- Eagerness to learn new technologies and respond quickly to emerging challenges
