The Workday Integration Developer, delivers technical integration expertise through Cielo’s consulting engagements. Architect and build integration solutions to meet the functional and non-functional requirements for our clients by bringing solid expertise in designing and developing client-specific integration solutions. As a hands-on technical resource, the Integration Developer, will design and build solutions for our global clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Translate business requirements into technical integration designs, deciding the best integration approach (EIB, Core Connector, Studio)
  • Define data flow (inbound/outbound), frequency, and error handling strategy.
  • Within Workday, configure EIBs (Enterprise Interface Builder), Implement Core Connectors (i.e., payroll, benefits, background checks, Paradox, HiredScore), and develop Workday Studio integrations for complex use cases.
  • Technical work includes writing XSLT transformations, working with XML/XPath, and configuring web service calls (SOAP/REST).
  • Build effective and efficient Workday connectors to external third-party systems, including mapping data fields, ensuring data intgrity and formatting, while ensuring security and authentication.
  • Conduct unit and end-to-end testing, monitor for failures and resolve production issues quickly, debugging and resolving issues.
  • Maintain system security and compliance requirements in all work with special attention to PII data.
  • Provide complete documentation through all phases of the project, meeting deliverables, and ensuring successful knowledge transfer.
  • Work under broad direction and be fully accountable for own technical work, project responsibilities, and team deliverables.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Business Administration, or Human Resources strongly preferred.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with demonstratable and broad HRIS experience, WWorkday required with a focus on reporting and analysis in: Workday HCM (Master-Level), Workday Advanced Compensation, Recruiting, Benefits, Payroll (Other Workday SKUs a plus).

  • Workday certification required.

  • Experience with change management methods and programs a plus

  • Proven ability to lead technical integration projects and mentor others on best practices and patterns for efficient development of software and applications related to data and analytics.

  • A minimum of 4 years of demonstrated success designing complex end-to-end integrations.

  • At least 2 years of experience using XSLT, XML/XPath, Workday Studio and SQL for data analysis / integrations through building and consuming SOAP and REST APIs.

Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Excellent PC Software knowledge and database reporting tools including Excel.

  • Proficiency in XSLT, XML/XPath, Workday Studio and SQL required.

  • Java Script, Workato, Boomi, Mulesoft, REST / JSON exprience preferred.

  • Experience with Paradox and/or HiredScore preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience accurately collecting information to understand and assess needs and using that information to develop and deliver timely solutions. Integration design exprience required.

  • Excellent business analysis skills: timeline planning, requirements definition and documentation, test planning, deployment approaches; exceptional written and verbal communication capabilities required.

  • Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision. Ability to interact with individuals from diverse levels within a corporation and to provide excellent customer service.

  • Demonstrated business acumen and value focus in a work environment with adjusting priorities.

  • Thrive on simultaneously managing multiple responsibilities with superior detail orientation, organization, and analytical skills. Requires high level of discretion with ability to handle confidential and proprietary information appropriately. High level of integrity.
