Dog Academy is your home for the most comprehensive, accessible, and effective dog training (online, virtual, and in-person). Our courses and educational information have been designed in collaboration with professional, American Kennel Club-certified trainers with more than 25 years of experience - all of whom are deeply passionate about dogs and how they can improve lives.
About the Role
US Service Animals and Dog Academy is currently hiring a Team Lead / Sr. Software Engineer who is a self-starter and takes initiative in tackling challenges with our web and mobile applications. We are a growing organization and building many new products, so the Team Lead / Sr. Software Engineer will need an architectural mindset as we plan for scalability and the future. This candidate will lead, guide, and mentor developers on their team to research, plan, and build solutions to meet the business's needs.
Responsibilities
- A balance of leading team and execution of software development/delivery
- A passion for writing clean, well-documented code, as well as holding others on the team accountable to do the same
- Coaching other engineers on the team to increase overall team (technical) skills and performance
- Establishment of a framework for "Code Standards" and overall best practices for the team to adhere to
- Partnering with product in preliminary stages to design software that's robust, secure, scalable, and built to last
Must Haves
- Expertise in PHP; specifically with LiveWire and Filament
- Expertise in building applications in the Cloud (AWS)•Growth
- Expertise in making sound Architectural decisions to support both B2C and B2B enterprise applications
- Fluency in Agile methodologies and iterative development
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with automated testing frameworks, such as Selenium or Cypress
