The Advisor Solutions Consultant is a highly skilled and sophisticated external product wholesaler. This role proactively interacts with Financial Advisors (FAs) in field meetings through external rotations, as well as telephone, email and virtual presentations as needed to position Thrivent products in client’s financial portfolios. They achieve this by mastering and utilizing extensive product knowledge, competitive positioning, the Thrivent advice process and toolbox, sales process skills and case consultation skills. RBDCs are responsible for addressing advanced planning topics where Thrivent products are utilized. This individual will also be responsible for developing and successfully executing upon a business plan, managing the territory, and understanding the greatest opportunities for Thrivent products.
The Advisor Solutions Consultant provides sales and sales support to Financial Advisors and clients within all channels. 70-80% of their job is focused on consistent and proactive business development activities to create the strategic relationships needed to achieve optimal success.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop new and build upon existing relationships withinterritory. The strategy includesdeveloping a firm rotation,implementing business plans and a sales strategy aroundfocusFA’s and teamsidentifyingbusiness opportunities. Manage external rotations to meet sales and activity goals.
Grow andretainThrivent solutionswithin an assigned territory via virtual and in-person engagements with FAs toshare sales ideas, provide product information, gather marketing data, provide case consultation,and offer sales support.
Proactivelyidentifyandparticipatein “point of sales” opportunities with financial advisors andclientto help drive results.
Partner with advice colleagues to provide advice toolpromotion andeducationto help drive advice tool adoption.
Demonstrate excellent knowledge/expertiseof Thriventlife/health/annuityproducts/strategies/technical tools through the educational and sales process withFAs.
Continuous improvement on all business development activities (short & long term), including but not limitedtomarketing, leaddevelopment,point of sale presentations,conversions, transaction size, and repeat purchases.
Collaboratewith marketing, products, fielddistributionand other executives toidentifyinnovative product development opportunities.
Fulfillsin a timely mannerrequired administrative/team responsibilities such as CRM data entry, call reporting, expense reports, conferencecallsand meetings on time.
Adhere to all compliance guidelines includinguseof pre-approved marketing materials, prospectusrequirementsand proper licensing.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in related fieldor equivalent experience
7-10 years of Financial Industry experience
Proven experience (3-5 years) of wholesaling and/or field sales, withdemonstratedincreases in responsibility
Proven relationship building and management skills
Excellent ability to communicate complex product related sales concepts
A deepunderstanding of product features and benefits and their application to individual client needs
Knowledge of advanced financial planning topics (e.g.Business Owner Expertise, Retirement Income Concepts, and Longevity planning)
Exceptional communication and presentation skills
License Requirements: Series 6, 63 and Life and Health licenses (or mustattainwithin 90 days)

Compensation for this role is a combination of base and incentives. The applicable total compensation range for this full-time role is $289,000 – 314,000 per year, which is dependent upon performance and factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will be determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, location, relevant experience, skills, and knowledge, business needs, market demand, and other factors Thrivent deems important.
