Join Tāmaki Health as a Telehealth Doctor and play a vital role in supporting our community & reducing wait times across our busy clinics. This unique role supports our walk-in services and in-person clinicians by consulting with patients who have been triaged by a nurse and are identified as suitable for telehealth, ensuring timely, safe, and efficient care.

This is an excellent opportunity for doctors based overseas within favourable time zones, or New Zealand–based clinicians outside of Auckland — who are looking for flexible, remote clinical work within a well-supported environment.


About the Role

We are seeking experienced Doctors to provide virtual clinical support, with shifts available across 7 days a week, in the hours between 8:30 am and 11pm NZT.

In this role, you will see walk-in patients who have been triaged by a nurse and who are present in a physical clinic with an on-site team of clinicians.

We are open to Flexible arrangements depending on your availability to cover sessions as per the above.

You Will Need to Have

  • Must hold a current registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand
  • Experience in urgent care, acute medicine or General Practice
  • Current Medical Indemnity Insurance
  • Strong technological skills using different software and confidence consulting via telehealth
  • Familiarity with MedTech 32, MedTech Evolution, or similar EMR systems (advantageous)
  • A commitment to providing equitable and culturally safe care, with understanding of Māori tikanga, kawa, and Te Tiriti o Waitangi
