Project Engineer – Renewable Energy and Energy storage systems

An International fast growing Independent Power Producer is looking for an Electrical Engineer with experience in PV, wind and BESS power plants engineering and design. The company specializes in the initiation, development, financing, construction, management, and operation of projects involving the generation of electricity from renewable energy sources (Wind, Solar, Battery Energy Storage). The company has operations in Israel, Europe (western, Northern and eastern Europe) and the US, with a diversified portfolio of income-generating projects, projects during construction and pre-construction that total over 20GW and an additional 30 GWh in different development stages.

Responsibilities

This position may involve a wide variety of diverse assignments including:

  • Project Engineering Management of external and internal stakeholders/consultants/engineering company.
  • Managing and leading RE power plants design criteria for optimization, cost reduction and performance improvement.
  • Perform solar resource assessments and energy production estimates with PVsyst and other optimization tools.
  • Support, from a technical point of view, the procurement phase (request for proposal, contract negotiation, qualification) with OEM, suppliers and BoP/EPC Contractors.
  • Support in the assessment of new opportunities for investment with internal feasibility analysis or with external technical advisors.
  • Collaborate closely with the company business units throughout the project cycle – Business Development, Project Development, Execution.
  • The position will also include exposure to other renewable technologies (such as green Hydrogen).

Requirements

Preferred Qualifications

•Previous Renewable Energy experience.

  • Previous WTG experience – Significant advantage

•Previous BESS experience – Advantage

  • Technical Project Management experience – Advantage
  • Experience in the technical contractual phase for renewable energy Plants
  • Familiarity with Project Development is preferrable
  • Experience in high voltage connections and sub-stations design – Significant advantage
  • Software: WindPro (Advantage), PVsyst, Autocad, Microsoft Office suite, Word and Excel.

•Strong writing and presentation skills

  • Other skills: Pro-active approach, structured way of working, capacity of managing and integration processes.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate clearly and succinctly through formal reports, presentations, teleconferences, memoranda and email.
  • Must be able to function equally well in fast-paced, collaborative, multi-disciplined teams, and self-directed independent assignments.
  • Must be self-motivated, with an ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously.

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a degree in electrical engineering.

5 years related work experience. Professionals with less experience may be considered if the profile meets some of the requirements.

Location

Europe (remote).

The person will mainly support all the initiatives and Projects across Europe.
