Overview

We are seeking a Lead Data Engineer to join our team.

In this role, you will play a key part in shaping the technical foundation that supports marketing technology, customer engagement, and data-driven decision-making across the organization. You will work in a collaborative, cross-functional environment where data engineering, full-stack development, and modern AI-assisted practices come together to deliver high-impact solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design scalable, event-driven architectures that power real-time marketing interactions, automated customer journeys, and end-to-end digital experiences
  • Create and deploy orchestration workflows through Adobe Campaign or similar enterprise-class marketing automation platforms
  • Engineer high-performance big-data solutions using Scala, Databricks, Spark SQL, Spark Streaming, and Python
  • Construct and fine-tune cloud-native data pipelines on Azure, covering ingestion, transformation, and orchestration with Azure Data Factory (ADF)
  • Develop and support full-stack applications built on modern JavaScript frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue, paired with backend services implemented in Node.js, Python, or Java
  • Deliver resilient APIs and microservices that tightly connect MarTech systems with customer-facing products
  • Leverage contemporary design patterns to guarantee reliability, maintainability, and scalability across distributed systems and full-stack environments
  • Champion AI-assisted engineering techniques, including Vibe Coding and other generative-AI productivity accelerators, to foster innovation and efficiency
  • Partner with product, marketing, and data teams to convert business objectives into solid technical deliverables across both data and application layers
  • Guide engineers and uplift engineering standards, code quality, and operational excellence within the POD

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in data engineering or closely related fields
  • At least one year of experience leading and managing development teams
  • Familiarity with AI-augmented development methodologies such as Vibe Coding or equivalent frameworks
  • Exposure to contemporary AI/ML pipelines applied to personalization, segmentation, or content automation scenarios
  • Solid expertise in big-data technologies, covering Scala, Databricks, Spark SQL, Spark Streaming, and Python
  • Cloud engineering background with Azure services, including practical experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) for data ingestion and orchestration
  • Advanced skills in system design, with expertise in event-driven architectures and distributed design patterns
  • Full-stack engineering exposure with leading frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue
  • Backend development background using Node.js, Python, Java, or comparable technologies
  • Skilled in crafting RESTful and GraphQL APIs to enable scalable integrations
  • Hands-on experience setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for full-stack deployments
  • Demonstrated capability in leading engineering teams within fast-moving, cross-functional settings
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with a talent for turning technical topics into meaningful business outcomes
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken, at a C1+ level or higher

Nice to have

  • Background in large-scale marketing ecosystems, such as ESPs, CDPs, personalization engines, and real-time decisioning systems
  • Experience with high-volume data processing supporting customer engagement or growth marketing programs
  • Working knowledge of DevOps practices, including CI/CD, observability, and automated testing across data and application stacks
  • Track record of building customer-facing web applications integrated with MarTech and data platforms
