Overview
We're looking for a SharePoint Online Migration Engineer to join our team in Malta in a hybrid working mode.
In this role, you will support the migration from SharePoint 2016 on-premises to SharePoint Online, ensuring data integrity, minimal business disruption and functional parity. The project involves migrating sites, subsites, customizations and Nintex workflows to a cloud environment, playing a key part in modernizing our client’s collaboration infrastructure within the financial services sector.
Responsibilities
- Lead the migration of SharePoint 2016 on-premises sites and subsites to SharePoint Online while ensuring data integrity and business continuity
- Design and implement customization migration strategies to preserve functionality and user experience in the cloud environment
- Analyze existing Nintex workflows and develop migration or replacement solutions for SharePoint Online
- Configure and optimize Azure infrastructure components to support SharePoint Online and ensure performance standards are met
- Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and provide technical guidance through all migration phases
- Document migration processes and deliver knowledge transfer to support teams for future operations
Requirements
- Proven experience in SharePoint Online administration including site collection management and configuration
- Strong knowledge of Azure infrastructure services and cloud solution architecture
- Demonstrated understanding of business processes, ideally within financial services environments
- Hands-on experience with SharePoint 2016 on-premises environments and migration methodologies
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting complex technical issues
- Ability to work effectively in international and culturally diverse teams with strong communication skills
- Fluency in English
