Overview
We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our team.
In this role, you will play a key part in shaping the technical foundation that supports marketing technology, customer engagement, and data-driven decision-making across the organization. You will work in a collaborative, cross-functional environment where data engineering, full-stack development, and modern AI-assisted practices come together to deliver high-impact solutions.
Responsibilities
- Architect scalable, event-driven systems that enable real-time marketing experiences, automated customer journeys, and full-stack digital touchpoints
- Design and implement orchestration workflows using Adobe Campaign or equivalent enterprise-grade marketing automation tools
- Develop high-performance big-data applications leveraging Scala, Databricks, Spark SQL, Spark Streaming, and Python
- Build and optimize cloud-native data pipelines on Azure, including ingestion, transformation, and orchestration using Azure Data Factory (ADF)
- Design, build, and maintain full-stack applications using modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue, along with backend services built in Node.js, Python, or Java
- Implement robust APIs and microservices that seamlessly integrate MarTech systems with customer-facing platforms
- Apply modern design patterns to ensure reliability, maintainability, and scalability across distributed systems and full-stack architectures
- Drive AI-assisted engineering practices, including Vibe Coding and other generative-AI development accelerators, to boost productivity and innovation
- Collaborate with product, marketing, and data teams to translate business needs into robust technical solutions spanning both data and application layers
- Mentor engineers and raise the bar for engineering standards, code quality, and operational excellence within the POD
Requirements
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in data engineering or related disciplines
- Experience with AI-augmented development approaches such as Vibe Coding or comparable frameworks
- Exposure to modern AI/ML pipelines supporting personalization, segmentation, or content automation use cases
- Strong proficiency in big-data technologies, including Scala, Databricks, Spark SQL, Spark Streaming, and Python
- Cloud engineering experience with Azure services, including hands-on work with Azure Data Factory (ADF) for data ingestion and orchestration
- Advanced system design capabilities, including event-driven architectures and distributed design patterns
- Full-stack engineering experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue
- Backend development experience using Node.js, Python, Java, or similar technologies
- Proficiency in designing RESTful and GraphQL APIs for scalable integrations
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to support full-stack deployments
- Proven ability to lead engineering teams in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
- Strong communication and stakeholder alignment skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear business impact
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English at a C1+ level or higher
Nice to have
- Experience working within large-scale marketing ecosystems, including ESPs, CDPs, personalization engines, and real-time decisioning platforms
- Background in high-volume data processing that supports customer engagement or growth marketing initiatives
- Familiarity with DevOps practices such as CI/CD, observability, and automated testing across both data and application stacks
- Experience building customer-facing web applications integrated with MarTech and data platforms
