Mercor is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to evaluate AI model performance on mechanical engineering problems. The role involves reviewing and annotating tasks, producing original problem sets, and applying quality checks.
Requirements
- PhD in Mechanical Engineering, or MS with 3+ years of applied experience, or BS with 5+ years in design, simulation, or manufacturing.
- Working fluency in at least two of: statics/dynamics, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, machine design, or heat transfer.
- Comfortable with engineering drawings, free-body diagrams, and performance curves.
- Prior teaching, tutoring, or technical writing experience (preferred)
