Overview

We are looking for a Senior Customer Success Engineer to design and deliver secure, scalable, and high-performance cloud solutions across AWS and/or GCP environments for enterprise customers. You act as the primary technical point of contact, bridging complex architecture decisions with customer needs while collaborating with a globally distributed engineering team.

In this role, you lead technical onboarding, solution design, and ongoing optimization — guiding customers through complex hybrid environments from initial discovery through deployment and beyond.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end solution design and technical onboarding for strategic enterprise customers, ensuring deployment success criteria are achieved across AWS and/or GCP environments
  • Design and implement cloud networking and hybrid connectivity solutions (Direct Connect, VPN, Transit Gateways) with a strong focus on security, compliance, and scalability
  • Facilitate technical discovery and whiteboarding sessions with customers, mapping current vs. future state architectures and identifying risks early
  • Manage multiple customer engagements proactively, regularly reviewing environments for optimization opportunities and advising on CI/CD integration
  • Collaborate with internal teams to advocate for customer-driven product enhancements based on deployment friction and field insights

Requirements

  • 7+ years in a customer-facing technical role in enterprise IT or cloud services, with hands-on expertise in AWS and/or GCP, including hybrid architecture and cloud networking
  • Strong knowledge of cloud security and compliance standards (SOC2/ISO), including PrivateLink, WAF configuration, and Security Group/firewall policy design
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions), as well as high-performance storage solutions (NFS/SMB) relevant to asset pipelines (e.g., Perforce/Plastic SCM)
  • Proven ability to lead technical discussions, translate complex concepts for stakeholders, and operate independently within distributed teams
  • Native-level Japanese and business-level English with the ability to navigate varying cultural business practices
