JetBrains is hiring a Backend Customer Success Engineer to support Kotlin adoption. Relocation to Amsterdam or Prague is available; hybrid work options are offered.

What you will do:

  • Guide organizations through the Kotlin adoption process, from initial evaluation to production use.
  • Develop and recommend tailored high-level adoption strategies based on organization context.
  • Identify, document, and propose solutions for technical blockers hindering migration.
  • Establish and manage feedback loops with development teams to ensure continuous alignment.
  • Lead workshops, demos, and public-facing technical activities to articulate value propositions.

Requirements:

  • Extensive hands-on experience with Kotlin, Java, and the JVM ecosystem.
  • Proven track record of migrating Java backend codebases to Kotlin.
  • Proficiency with Spring (Boot) or similar frameworks like Quarkus, Micronaut, or Ktor.
  • Solid understanding of build tools including Maven and Gradle.
  • Experience in customer-facing technical roles such as Solutions Engineering or Developer Advocacy.
  • Strong English communication skills for written and spoken interaction.

Nice to have:

  • Experience designing backend systems using monolith, modulith, or microservices patterns.
