JetBrains is hiring a Backend Customer Success Engineer to support Kotlin adoption. Relocation to Amsterdam or Prague is available; hybrid work options are offered.
What you will do:
- Guide organizations through the Kotlin adoption process, from initial evaluation to production use.
- Develop and recommend tailored high-level adoption strategies based on organization context.
- Identify, document, and propose solutions for technical blockers hindering migration.
- Establish and manage feedback loops with development teams to ensure continuous alignment.
- Lead workshops, demos, and public-facing technical activities to articulate value propositions.
Requirements:
- Extensive hands-on experience with Kotlin, Java, and the JVM ecosystem.
- Proven track record of migrating Java backend codebases to Kotlin.
- Proficiency with Spring (Boot) or similar frameworks like Quarkus, Micronaut, or Ktor.
- Solid understanding of build tools including Maven and Gradle.
- Experience in customer-facing technical roles such as Solutions Engineering or Developer Advocacy.
- Strong English communication skills for written and spoken interaction.
Nice to have:
- Experience designing backend systems using monolith, modulith, or microservices patterns.
