Virtual Manufacturing Engineer
Commodity Battery Cell Prep & Assy is a section within Manufacturing Engineering. We develop and implement quality-assured, flexible, and effective production systems across our battery plants, focusing on the Cell-to-Pack (CtP) battery architecture. The section works cross-functionally and project-oriented, supporting Production Plants and car programs globally. We are seeking a new member in the role of Virtual Manufacturing Engineer.
As a Virtual Manufacturing Engineer, you will be part of a Commodity Manufacturing engineering team, contributing to the preparation and implementation of products and manufacturing processes globally, both manual and automated. You will ensure product and process solutions are cross-functional within the Manufacturing Engineering organization, with our Production facilities and with Engineering (R&D). This role focuses on fulfilling manufacturing attributes and key performances, such as quality, line balancing, cost efficiency, environment, flexibility, and changeover.
Main Responsibilities:
Contribute to the development of production systems.
Implement product and manufacturing processes globally.
Coordinate cross-functional initiatives within the Manufacturing Engineering organization.
Ensure manufacturing attributes are met efficiently.
Support the engineering team with technical solutions.
Key Requirements:
At least 5 years of experience in process design for body or battery shop (cell to pack).
Experience in product design for manufacturing (DFA/DFM).
Skilled in Siemens Teamcenter and Process Simulate.
Experience in robot offline programming beneficial.
Fluent in English (written and spoken).
Technical education at university level or equivalent experience.

Structured way of working, and good documentation skills.
Positive attitude.
Self-driven, result oriented and flexible.
