We are seeking an entrepreneurial and experienced Head of iGaming Merchant Risk to build and lead our Merchant Risk Department from the ground up.
Location: Remote or relocation to Limassol, Cyprus
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage merchant underwriting and risk assessment frameworks
- Conduct merchant due diligence, website audits, and license verification
- Perform compliance reviews covering AML/KYC and responsible gaming requirements
- Design and execute operational audits and mystery shopping programs
- Monitor merchant performance, fraud indicators, chargebacks, and transaction anomalies
- Ensure compliance with card scheme requirements and gambling regulations
- Build, train, and lead a high-performing Merchant Risk team
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in iGaming Risk, Merchant Underwriting, Fraud Prevention, or Compliance
- Strong knowledge of online casino and sportsbook operations
- Deep understanding of payment processing, PSPs, aggregators, and affiliate traffic
- Experience identifying high-risk merchants, fake licenses, and compliance violations
- Strong analytical, investigative, and decision-making skills
- Previous leadership experience and ability to build processes from scratch
