Tether is hiring a Web3 Senior QA Engineer to ensure product quality, reliability and an exceptional user experience through manual and automated testing. Role supports remote, global teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Create detailed test plans and test cases based on product requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Perform exploratory, regression and functional testing; identify and document defects with clear reproduction steps and evidence.
  • Design, develop and maintain scalable test automation frameworks and automated test cases.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and execute automated test suites.
  • Validate bug fixes and re-test resolved defects; monitor and analyze test results.
  • Collaborate closely with development, DevOps, product and design teams to uphold quality standards.

Requirements / Mandatory:

  • Bachelor’s degree in CS, IT, Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years in Quality Assurance (manual and automation testing).
  • 3+ years with JavaScript, TypeScript & NodeJS.
  • 3+ years in test automation design and implementation (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright or equivalent).
  • 3+ years in native mobile test automation (e.g., Appium, Espresso, XCUITest, Detox, or equivalent; familiarity with device farms and mobile automation platforms).
  • Experience defining and executing QA strategies for complex systems; strong understanding of QA methodologies, test design techniques and SDLC/Agile practices.
  • Hands-on with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into build/deploy workflows.
  • Proficiency with QA and defect tracking tools and strong collaboration and communication skills. English proficiency required.

Technical knowledge & preferred:

  • CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
  • QA/defect tools (TestPad, Qase, TestRail, Jira, Asana, Confluence).
  • API testing and databases (Postman, Newman, REST Assured, SQL, NoSQL).
  • Performance testing tools (JMeter, k6, Gatling) and familiarity with performance/load/security testing principles.
  • Test data management, environment configuration, and understanding of system architecture and integration testing.
  • Certifications like ISTQB Advanced Level are a plus.
