Overview

We are seeking a Lead Automation Tester in Java to drive our quality engineering initiatives and guide a team of automation engineers. The successful candidate will take ownership of the test strategy, mentor team members and shape the technical direction of our automation efforts to ensure exceptional product quality.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and evolution of scalable test automation frameworks in Java
  • Mentor and coach automation engineers on best practices and technical standards
  • Define test strategies and establish quality gates across the delivery pipeline
  • Oversee the creation, execution and maintenance of automated test suites
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align testing efforts with business objectives
  • Drive continuous improvement of automation processes and tooling
  • Conduct technical interviews and participate in hiring decisions
  • Perform code reviews to enforce SOLID principles and clean object-oriented design
  • Coordinate cross-team testing activities and resolve technical blockers
  • Validate data layers through complex SQL queries
  • Manage source control workflows in Git and BitBucket

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Test Automation using Java
  • Expertise in Test Automation Framework Architecture in Java
  • Proficiency in Object-oriented Programming and SOLID principles
  • Competency in Selenium, JUnit and TestNG
  • Background in Cucumber and SQL
  • Skills in Git and BitBucket
  • Knowledge of Quality Gates implementation
  • Fluent English communication skills at a B2+ level
